BONDY BONDY

The alias of Dave Meckin, a musician and sonic artist based in London, dave the machine works on a wide variety of creative projects from interactive sound installations and electronic music performances to sound design for theatre and film and the creation of new musical instruments.

Many of Dave’s projects involve electronic music and sounds but are often influenced and produced by mechanical means. I wanted to convey this anachronistic flavour in his work and give the logo a light, humorous feel that matched the 'dave the machine' pseudonym. The final design was very much influenced by Heath Robinson and his illustrations of overly complex and ridiculous machinery and combines a variety of distinctive electronic and mechanical elements both modern and archaic.
